With over 10 grams of protein in each serving, this protein snack is a great post-workout snack or even just for a little chocolate snack!
Hemp Protein? Huh? What’s that? Welll, lets just say it is really good for you. I mean, take a look at the bag there!
And not only that, it contains all 9 of the essential amino acids making it one of the most complete proteins out there! Can’t beat that!
This shake? Chocolate, Banana, Protein? Yes, all the good stuff wrapped into what we call “lunch!” I love fooling myself sometimes!
Start by adding the bananas and water to the blender. Whoops you caught me! I used milk.. sigh*
One day I’ll get over my obsessed love for milk. So I’ll say it then, you can use milk or water. There.
Next add in all the smelly good stuff. Cinnamon, vanilla, hemp powder (not so good smelling) and cocoa powder.
Give it all a whirl!
Now add in some spinach. Just do it, trust me it’s not bad at all besides turning the shake a ugly green tint, you can’t even tell it’s there! Get your veggies!
Add some ice cubes. I love the actual shake resemblance so make sure to add enough ice so it’s creamy and thick like ice cream :)
Such an amazing and easy combination! This smoothie is very often our lunches when we are busy blogging away and there is no time for a meal. A great way to get your protein in and feel full until dinner!
Chocolate Banana Protein Shake
Ingredients:
2 large bananas, frozen
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2-3 Tablespoons of Hemp Powder
1/2 cup water
2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
2 handfuls fresh spinach
3-4 ice cubes
Directions:
1. In a blender, add together the frozen bananas, water, vanilla, hemp powder, cinnamon, and cocoa powder. Blend until smooth. Add more water if needed to get the consistency you like.
2. Add the handfuls of spinach to the blender along with the ice cubes.
3. Blend again until completely smooth. Enjoy!
